My honours thesis was about connecting with my heritage. I had chosen to work with 3 different medium to challenge myself in stepping out of my comfort zone, especially sewing a traditional Filipino clothing, called ‘Barong.’ The painting is a portrait of a Filipino national hero and activist, who rebeled against Spanish Colonials. And the sculpture is a typographical model of the Philippines. The roughness terrain of the country is importance as it helped deter the Colonialism expansion.
